Nature Tots

What shapes can you find in the clouds? What’s the recipe for the perfect mud pie? Can you paint without a paintbrush? Questions like these and more will be answered in Nature Tots, a sensory-rich exploration of the natural world for children ages 2 to 4 years old and their caregivers. Each session is designed to support early learning with stories, crafts, movement and adventures in nature.
Join us for a FREE program for children ages 2-4 and their adult caregivers. Program will take place outdoors and each group is limited to 35 total participants including children, siblings, and adult caregivers.

Nature Tots: Backyard Journeys is a virtual program designed to help children ages 2-4 play and discover ways to explore the natural world right in their own neighborhood, and to celebrate opportunities for nature play in spaces where nature is not so traditionally accessible and green- yet every bit as valid. Each naturally themed session incorporates music and movement, vocabulary and literacy, math and science skills, and artistic expression. A story and nursery rhyme engage participants’ developing literacy and vocabulary skills. A video tour takes students on an adventure in nature, practicing observation, investigation, inquiry, and other science or math skills. Each session ends with an engaging craft related to the theme. After the session, participants are encouraged to use those skills in their neighborhoods.
