Statewide Astronomy Night

May 7 8:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

The Belle Isle Nature Center and Wayne State University are partnering for a night of fun and stargazing this May!

From 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. Saturday, May 7, visit the Wayne State University Planetarium at the Belle Isle Nature Center to celebrate Statewide Astronomy Night. During this free, outdoor-only event, observe the moon and stars through a variety of telescopes and binoculars, while Wayne State planetarium presenters take you on a live tour of the constellations and conduct exciting physics demonstrations.

At the same time, the Belle Isle Nature Center will host a special installment of its Nature at Night series, where you can learn all about the unique ways local nocturnal animals navigate a nighttime world.

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to spend the night amongst the stars while engaging with the wildlife that calls Metro Detroit home.

The Belle Isle Nature Center is located at 176 Lakeside Dr., Detroit.
